I: Our Promise to You
- Our players are our #1 priority. We will strive to put them first through everything that our program offers, especially in any difficult situation. We will strive to get each player playing time, and it is the coach’s decision on how he plans to create a lineup. It is the coach’s discretion at how he chooses to use each player during practices and games. At our discretion, we will willingly communicate any issue or concern to look for the best resolution, but we are not required to discuss any issue or concern that we feel is unreasonable. Pick up players are allowed in our program at our discretion and only if there is a need for that decision. We will strive to add pick up players only in situations where they are needed, such as to fill a desired position, fill a team, or any other reason that we feel is necessary. If pick up players become an issue amongst any party, we will discuss our proceeding plan of action with our staff. However, we have the right to make the final decision in regard to this matter at any time. In regard to tournaments and practices, delays and/or cancellations can happen at any time. Tournaments can be delayed/cancelled often for any reason; however, weather is typically the prime cause for this. If 1 tournaments is cancelled, we will strive to make it up. However, we are not obligated to make up 1 tournament(s) per team per season(s) due to any type of cancellation. After 1 cancellation in a season, we will attempt to add a tournament based on each one that is cancelled after the 1st. (Ex. if 3 tournaments are cancelled, we will attempt to add at least 2). Practices will be sought to have for each team, but no particular amount of practices is guaranteed. We have the right to cancel, change, or delay any practice at any time under any circumstance that we feel is necessary. If the need arises where we need to act toward any of these options, we will attempt to communicate these as quickly as possible. We will always strive for professional communication. Our goal is to develop each of these athletes in a safe, competitive, and disciplined environment. We will strive to give them the opportunities to build relationships with teammates and coaches. We will strive to develop these players as individuals first while developing them as athletes as well. Our program strives to provide a supportive, Christ-like community where each player can feel valued, respected, and able to play to the best of their ability. We are committed to creating an environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and development. We believe that each player has unique abilities, and it is our goal to aid them to reach their full potential both on and off the field. In addition to athletic development, we emphasize the importance of accountability, discipline, and academic success. We encourage our players to balance their commitments to the team with other events/aspects of their lives. We will strive to always be available to provide guidance and support to help players achieve this balance.
II: Players and Their Party(s)
- Fees are expected to be paid on time, and late fees may be applied if they are not covered fully by the due date. Fees are non-refundable, but we may discuss as an organization when refunds may be able to have an effect in certain, extreme situations. Refunds are only given out through the approval of Luke Vest through any situation. We have the right to switch a player or player(s) around from any team to another in the attempt of creating a better situation. We have the right to replace any player at any point, particularly if their fees are not taken care of. Examples of this can include: fees are not paid by the due date, communication was not provided efficiently, effectively, or efficiently so another player filled that spot, or any other reason that we consider validity in. We are not required to discuss playing time with anybody outside of the staff. At our discretion, we will have a discussion only with the specific player (NOT THEIR PARTY) who is worried about their own playing time. We have the right to remove any player, a member of that player’s party, or their entire party from our program if we feel their behavior is out of control. In the event of this occurring, uniforms will be given back to the former coach, and a refund may not apply. All players and their families are expected to conduct themselves with the highest level of sportsmanship and respect towards coaches, teammates, opponents, officials, and all parties involved. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and could result in disciplinary action at our discretion, including removal from the program. Players are expected to attend practices, games, and team events unless they have communicated with their coach for their absence to the staff. Players are expected to show up on time to all these events as well. A failure to communicate an absence or to show up late could result in a loss of playing time or other negative consequences at our discretion. We encourage often, healthy, and respectful communication between players, parents, and staff members. If any concerns or issues arise, we ask that they be addressed in a respectful and constructive manner. We will attempt to respond as soon as we are able. Our goal is to work together to find solutions that benefit our players and the team.
III: Staffing
- Player’s fees are only to be paid to Luke Vest. If, for any reason, fees are given to a staff member in any circumstance, Luke should be informed prior to this instance. An arrangement will be made to collect these fees. Serious consequences will apply if a player’s fees are kept for any period of time by a staff member, especially without communicating this concern prior to it occurring. Each staff member is obligated to attend each game and practice that is scheduled. With that in mind, we are aware that extreme circumstances happen, and we are as flexible as we can be with their schedules. If a staff member misses multiple games and/or practices, serious and negative consequences at our leader’s discretion could follow. Continuous behavior may put a staff member at risk of even more serious consequences at our leader’s discretion. Our staff members strive to lead by example while demonstrating values of sportsmanship, integrity, and dedication that we seek to relay towards our players. Staff members will strive to create a positive and supportive environment that encourages player development and team success. Staff members are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and a Christ-like environment in all interactions. Any inappropriate behavior (lying, missing practices and/or games with a notice, stealing, wrongful actions, poor performance, etc.) by staff members could result in serious consequences as well at our leader’s discretion.
